How Many Articles In A Week Should You Write For Your New Blog?

Don’t know about the number of articles that you should write in a month or a week. Please feel free to read this article and get rid of your confusion about the quantity of the posts.

Launching a new blog is really an exciting thing. You must be very excited about your new website and probably emailing or messaging about it to your family members, friends, colleagues and so on.

If you are a new blogger, there must be a question inside your mind about the number of articles that you should write in a week to get the maximum output. If your blog is old enough and you have tons of articles then also you might be wondering about the number of articles that you should write in a month or in a week.

There is a huge discussion going on this topic between the bloggers. Half of the blogger says that you should write 4-6 blogs per month during the initial phase and 4-8 guest post per month, and do it for 15-18 months till you have more than 100 articles in your website. Other half says that you should write at least 100 articles during the initial phase with no guest post. This should be done in 4 months and then spend rest of the time on guest posting and link building.

Obviously the later option requires more effort as well as time which most of us don’t have.

So which option should you follow? how much time should you dedicate to write articles for your blog?

In my opinion, the answer to this question totally depends on you.

If you want to build your and your website presence in the web world, you should follow the former option. Means that if you want other’s to know that you are a blogger and you also have a website, you should follow the former option. I know that you cannot reach all the people in the world just by writing guest post but if you write guest post on well established websites with high traffic, you would reach to most of the targeted people. The quality of your guest post also determines your reputation. If people find your articles compelling, there is a massive chance that they would visit your website also.

The plus point of following this step is that you will get a huge response during the initial phase. You may get tons of traffic within few weeks after the launch. The downside of this option is that if a person visits your website after reading your guest post, due to low number of articles, he may feel that your website is not good enough as well as not planned well which may degrade your website’s reputation.

On the other side, if you are a slow person and thinks that long term achievement is much better than short term achievement, go for the later option. If you write 100 of articles within the first four months and then focus your time about the guest post, it would be beneficial for you. If a visitor visits your website after reading your guest post, he will see a huge list of articles present in your website.

The plus point of the later option is that you will not break the trust of a person who visits your website after reading your guest post. But the downside is that the progress of your website will be much slower as compared to the first option.

Bottom Line

In case you got confused between the two options and don’t know which one to follow, just set one goal in your mind. If you want short term progress and want a huge traffic within the first few weeks of launch, go for former option. If you want a long term progress and want to earn visitor’s trust rather than more number of visitors, go for later option.
